PI Delivery Automation Engineer (remote)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PI Delivery Automation Engineer with 3-4 years of experience in infrastructure as code, configuration management tools, and cloud development. They will work with the team to design, build, and maintain automation solutions that will improve the reliability and maintenance of the PI Infrastructure. They will work on a next generation automation solution to streamline and standardize workflows, data collection, and configuration management.

Roles and Responsibilities

As an Automation Engineer on the PI Delivery Development team, you will be responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining automation solutions with Terraform, Ansible, python, and ReactJS. You will be responsible for the codebase from user request submittal through request execution. You will collaborate with the PI Support team and other teams to develop solutions that meet specific user guidelines and needs. You will participate in regular code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support. You will help maintain an extensive code base of Terraform, Ansible, Python, Lambdas, PowerShell scripts, libraries, and deployments.

Job Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in computer science/computer information systems or 7 years of applicable development experience.

* 3-4 years of experience with building, maintaining, and optimizing cloud services in AWS or Azure, such as S3, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Lambda, and Kafka.

* 3-4 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

* 3-4 years of experience with configuration management tools, preferably Ansible.

* 3-4 years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Github Actions, GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.

* 3-4 years of experience with Git and git-flow methodologies for version/source control.

* 3-4 years of experience with UI/UX building frontend JavaScript/TypeScript applications in ReactJS, VueJS, or Angular.

* 3-4 years of experience with password management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault or CyberArk.

Nice to Have

* Experience with Agile and JIRA.

* Experience with C#.

* Experience with AVEVA PI and AVEVA PI AFSDK.

* Experience with AVEVA PI PowerShell Tools.

* Experience with artifactories such as Nexus, ProGet, or JFrog.

* Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.

* Strong knowledge and understanding usage of REST APIs.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until Feb 24 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $ 66,896K -$ 153,000K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans
