JOB PURPOSE
We are currently seeking a C4I Systems Test Specialist to focus on the rigorous testing and implementation of C4I systems across various military platforms. This role is critical for ensuring the operational integrity and effectiveness of C4I systems through comprehensive testing, troubleshooting, and compliance with DoD standards. The C4I Systems Test Specialist will bring a deep technical expertise in network and communication systems, particularly in Tactical Data Links (TDL) and Advanced Tactical Data Link (ATDL) systems, and possess a strong background in system configuration, security management, and problem resolution to support mission-critical operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY


  • Design TDL architecture, plan and execute technical solutions, and resolve complex technical problems that impact data link communications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues related to the interoperability and connectivity of PEO C4I Systems.
  • Set up, load, configure, operate, and troubleshoot RF communication systems, including Tactical and Navy PoR systems.
  • Manage Communications Security (COMSEC) Material System (CMS) activities, ensuring compliance with the Electronic Key Management System (EKMS).
  • Load, initialize, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ATDL RF terminals and Naval and Joint Tactical Data Links, including Link-22 and Link-16.
  • Perform installation, integration, setup, and configuration of DoD, military, and commercial hybrid systems/equipment.
  • Review and interpret Interface Control Documents (ICD) to support the fabrication and integration of data and power cables according to system standards and specifications.
  • Utilize electronic test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes to support laboratory operations in accordance with NIWC Pacific guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain test equipment, ensuring precise measurements and system functionality.



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Licensure/Credentials Required:


  • This position requires an existing U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the final Secret level. Individual must be able to maintain the required security clearance/eligibility for continued employment. U.S. Citizenship is required.


Required Experience:


  • Proven experience with C4I systems operations, including but not limited to C2P Tech Refresh, CDLMS, LMMT, ADSI, TIGER, and DLTT family of systems
  • Deep knowledge of testbed RF ATDL systems such as MIDS-JRTS, JTIDS Product Improvement (JPI), MOS-MOD, STT, and TTNT
  • Proficient in the setup, loading, configuration, and operations of DAMA/IW Orderwire Channel Controller Trainer/Simulator (DOCCT/S) systems
  • Extensive familiarity with C4I/ATDL system configuration, operation, and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of TDL protocols including Link-16, JREAP, Link-22, and Link-11
  • Basic knowledge of networking related to TTNT system architecture and Ship/Shore ADNS architecture
  • Experience with Military Standards (MIL-STD) relevant to C4I design specifications and TDL protocols
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment



Preferred Education:


  • Bachelors in related field (i.e. networking, computer science, cyber security) preferred
