As an Electrical Maintenance Lead, you'll play a critical role in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our electrical and mechanical systems, including our advanced production machinery. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Responsibilities:



  • Provide leadership and direction to the Maintenance team, ensuring work orders are prioritized and tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Oversee the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to keep equipment running smoothly and minimize downtime.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled equipment, including bagger machines, motors, drives, fryers, and packaging systems.
  • Maintain a controlled inventory of parts, tools, and supplies to ensure the Maintenance team has everything they need to perform repairs and maintenance efficiently.
  • Ensure all maintenance work adheres to GMP, OSHA, EPA, and Food Safety guidelines while supporting the plant's safety culture and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of preventive maintenance, repairs, work orders, and other maintenance activities in the EAM System to comply with audit requirements.
  • Drive the implementation of 5S processes to maintain an organized and clean work environment, contributing to safety and productivity.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the maintenance processes and contribute to ongoing improvements in production efficiency.


Requirements:



  • 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent, with hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing bagger machines and other industrial production machinery.
  • High School Diploma or Trade School education in Industrial Machinery Mechanics, HVAC, or related fields.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing PLC-controlled equipment, bagger machines, and mechanical systems like motors, drives, fryers, packaging machines, and more.
  • Knowledge of Ishida packaging equipment, Heat and Control fryers, and conveyor systems is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze data, interpret issues, and implement solutions effectively.
  • Ability to communicate well with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and timely completion of maintenance tasks.

  • Requires knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical, and electronic applications acquired through 3-5 years of experience.
  • Able to read and work from blueprints, drawings, work orders and electrical schematics.
  • Requires the ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment quickly and independently.
  • Requires working at excessive heights.
  • Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 100 lbs.

  • Report equipment conditions to Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Assist to complete production by working in the line as instructed by Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Maintain inventories of tools and supplies.
  • Maintain shop area clean and organized.
  • Perform any other duties as required by Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager.
  • Maintain complete plant cleanliness. Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement Processes including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with demonstrated ability troubleshooting process related issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff and others contacted in the course of the work.
  • Ability to think and work effectively under pressure and accurately complete tasks within established times.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadline.
