Overview Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center unites individualized care and advanced research to provide the latest cancer treatment options while accelerating discoveries that prevent, treat and cure cancer and infectious diseases worldwide. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is an independent, nonprofit organization and the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington. We have earned a global reputation for our track record of discoveries in cancer, infectious disease and basic research, including important advances in bone marrow transplantation, immunotherapy, HIV/AIDS prevention and COVID-19 vaccines. Fred Hutch operates eight clinical care sites that provide medical oncology, infusion, radiation, proton therapy and related services. Fred Hutch also serves as UW Medicine's cancer program. Since the April 2022 merger that led to the formation of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Fred Hutch has served as the cancer program for UW Medicine, and Philanthropy is proud to raise funds that fuel the adult oncology program on behalf of both Fred Hutch and UW Medicine. Following board approval of an ambitious, 10-year comprehensive campaign, our team of more than 130 will grow to 160 over the next two years. Philanthropy staff implement high-performing, relationship-based fundraising programs that engage and inspire thousands of supporters who are passionate about preventing and eliminating cancer and infectious disease. Our FY25 goals include increasing our annual fundraising, deepening our patient family fundraising, and advancing the first phase of our comprehensive campaign through Fred Hutch's 50th anniversary in 2025. Our success is made possible through a deep commitment to an inclusive environment and operational excellence. The Assistant Director, Leadership Annual Giving, is a member of the Gifts & Grants program and reports to the Executive Director, Leadership Annual Giving. The Gifts & Grants program focuses on relationship-based fundraising to secure gifts ranging from $10,000 to $4.9 million from individuals including patient families, as well as corporate and foundation partners. The Assistant Director, Leadership Annual Giving, works under the direction of team leadership to develop and implement effective, creative, and personalized strategies to increase giving through the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of mid-level donors and prospective donors. The Assistant Director, Leadership Annual Giving, is responsible for dynamic discovery work with mid-level donors and prospective donors. Some travel and weekend and evening work will be required. This role will have the opportunity to work partially at our campus and remotely. Responsibilities Primary/Essential Duties
Work with physicians, researchers, and fellow fundraisers to engage and inform donors, and prospective donors, including patient families, about ways to give to Fred Hutch.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $82,846 to $124,238, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
