TITLE: Packer B

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Follow established quality guidelines to produce a product that meets criteria.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.


  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
  • Packer experience preferred
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Oral and Written communication skills
  • Up to 50 lbs. lifting maximum
  • P.C. Knowledge
  • Mechanical Aptitude



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Comply with all written and verbal safety rules
  • Maintain high level of housekeeping at all times
  • Arrange scrap and recycle waste into appropriate area / bins
  • Understand all charting order instructions and arrange packaging supplies and boxes as per charting instructions
  • Pack and wrap finish goods as per procedure / charting instructions
  • Print / attach pallet labels as per the order and move the pallets to the designated location
  • Able to thread up and operate PSB machines
  • Able to perform QC test and do the fill out production paperwork
  • Use hand tools such as pallet jack
  • Make end boards
  • Run horizontal/vertical packing crane (Manual or radio control)
  • Packing supplies (Check that the Material Handler has all needed supplies for packaging a product)
  • Comply with Plant Safety Regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Help in all areas when needed
  • Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required
  • Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.



WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:



  • Manufacturing Environment
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
  • Loud noise
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and repetitive action of lifting and bending
  • Able to stand up to 12 hrs and work 12 hrs rotating schedule
  • Must wear steel toe shoes and appropriate PPE on production floor all times
  • No shorts, jewelry, and lose hanging clothes allowed
