POSITION SUMMARY: This position will oversee the receipt, storage, control, and distribution of all inventories including raw materials, work in process and finished goods according to the company's needs and customer requirements.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all warehouse activities including internally manufactured, parts planning, execution, and measurement.
  • Work with Production to problem solve capacity constraints and develop recovery plans.
  • Monitor cell performance and drive past due orders to completion.
  • Drive transaction integrity in MRP.
  • Own inventory accuracy.
  • Develop, manage, own inventory plans including inventory targets.
  • Oversee plans and execution of inventory (physical or perpetual).
  • Lead/drive S&OP process as required.
  • Own Plan for Every Part (PFEP) - MOQ, Bulk v. Line Storage.
  • Manage staff, including the selection, hiring, and training of employees. Recommend salary increases and conduct performance reviews.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to drive inventory accuracy throughout the entire value stream.
  • Oversee the job assignments and activities of Inventory Control staff.
  • Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
  • Oversees stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.
  • Communicates with Purchasing and Planning Departments, as needed, regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
  • Ensures annual inventory losses are minimized and meet budgetary goals.
  • Performs and assists with general maintenance and cleanup of warehouse.
  • Operates forklift as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, production management or related field.
  • 4+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment with comprehensive knowledge of inventory planning and material control.
  • 2+ years of management experience.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems
