Description

This faculty member will join our College of Education on a full time, 12-month contract. The Lipscomb University College of Education seeks a qualified professional to manage, instruct, and facilitate the new EdS in School Psychology program. This individual will teach School Psychology courses each semester and also serve an administrative role, leading and directing the School Psychology program.

Professional qualifications:



  • PhD in School Psychology
  • Licensed School Psychologist

    • TN DOE SSP license preferred


  • Licensed psychologist (preferred)
  • Qualified to supervise school psychology candidates
  • Familiarity with National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) regulations
  • Proven leadership, teaching, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience working in P-12 schools as a school psychologist


Role and Responsibilities:

Individual will work with COE faculty and leadership to:



  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the School Psychology program
  • Develop course schedules and manage School Psychology faculty assignments
  • Teach courses each semester
  • Implement standard procedures for School Psychology resources
  • Maintain inventory of materials
  • Implement policies and procedures for student and faculty use of materials
  • Support CAEP and NASP accreditation efforts
  • Assist with other special projects or initiatives as identified and/or needed
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities determined to be appropriate for this position
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, regulations, and other communicated requirements
