Clinical Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Yeshiva College

Position Summary:



The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Yeshiva College invites applications for a full-time non-tenure-track position in Chemistry, starting in August 2025. This position will be at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. Candidates trained in Bioanalytical Chemistry will be preferred though applicants with expertise in other fields will be considered.



Position Responsibilities:




  • The new faculty member will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in chemistry and biochemistry, including laboratory courses
  • The teaching load will be three courses per semester (approximately 9 contact hours per semester)
  • The new faculty member will have designated laboratory space to conduct research and an opportunity to mentor undergraduate students
  • Additional responsibilities will include student advising, working with the faculty of the department in learning assessment, coordinating multiple laboratory sections of a course, and collaboratively contributing to the growth and educational advancement of our students



Experience & Educational Background:




  • The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in chemistry/Biochemistry along with significant postdoctoral experience and excellent scholarship
  • The candidate should have teaching experience and demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentoring



Salary Range:



$70,000-$90,000. Yeshiva University offers faculty a competitive compensation and benefits package covering health insurance and retirement benefits.
