Position Overview:



As the Quality Control Department Manager, you will oversee the quality control functions for our heavy civil construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that all work meets or exceeds client specifications, industry standards, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control programs for construction projects.
  • Establish procedures to ensure compliance with industry codes, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of quality control inspectors and technicians.
  • Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to swiftly resolve quality issues.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and audits to verify adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage corrective actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate quality performance metrics and project progress with clients, engineers, and stakeholders.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of quality control management experience in heavy civil construction.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards such as ACI, ASTM, and DOT regulations.
  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and construction inspection methods.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management software.


Compensation:



Salary: $110,000 - $130,000/year. Upon joining our client, the Quality Control Department Manager position offers a direct hire opportunity with a comprehensive benefits package.
