What's involved in this role:

We are looking for an IT Technician Intern in our Jerome cheese and whey plant!
The IT Business Applications Intern works closely with Information Technology Leadership and other IT employees on various Information Technology tasks and projects. The responsibilities of the IT Business Applications Intern vary based on assignments and department needs.

* Provide end user support - both face-to-face and remote.
* Troubleshoot both hardware & software issues.
* Install both hardware & software as directed.
* Provide general systems administration.
* Assist with basic networking as directed.
* Successfully complete any assessments or tests required to work within the IT department, if applicable.
* Take direction on assignments and then work autonomously or with appropriate team(s) to accomplish assignment objectives.
* Acquire current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable laws related to Information Technology in a dairy manufacturing environment.
* Thoroughly learn about the Agropur business model and how to run an efficient IT department.
* Actively meet and speak with Information Technology employees to learn the various aspects and responsibilities of their jobs.
* Learn to work safely and efficiently, while maintaining accuracy.
* Support IT standards and help reinforce policies and procedures.

What you need to join our team:

* No experience required; in-house training provided.
* Must be currently enrolled in a Computer Science or related program as a candidate for graduation.
* Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with executives, managers, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the organization.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
* Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently.
