Cybersecurity Intern - Summer 2025

The Weitz Company is hiring a Cybersecurity Intern to join our Des Moines office for the 2025 summer. Interns receive hands-on work experience, while working alongside our team of talented professionals. It is important to us to ensure our students are successful, and we work hard to ensure each intern walks away with tangible experience.

Specializing in markets such as data centers, aviation, industrial manufacturing, commercial construction, and more, you will be exposed to a wide variety of marketing techniques and strategies. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and respond to security alerts, learning many tools in the process
• Work with employees on cybersecurity best practices and education
• Develop process documentation
• Audit systems to detect patterns in data and work to improve processes

  • Currently obtaining a college degree in a technology program with a focus on cybersecurity

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Outgoing and excited to interact with employees at all levels
  • Attention to detail to help identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with standards
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze information and propose solutions

  • Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft systems
  • Ability to learn specific job-related software upon hire
