Location Address: 6220 Duquesne Drive, Atlanta, Georgia 30336 Work Shift: 12hr-C Shift (United States of America) Altium Packaging is one of the largest plastic container companies and suppliers of rigid plastic packaging. We specialize in customized mid- and short-run packaging solutions and serve a diverse customer base in the pharmaceutical, dairy, household chemicals, food/nutraceuticals, industrial/specialty chemicals, water, and beverage/juice segments. Hours: 7:00pm-7:30am Pay Rate: $26.83/hr. (base pay) + $2.00/hr. (shift differential) We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Machine Operator in Atlanta. As a Lead, you will provide direction and support to the production & packing shift team. You will also be responsible for driving compliance with standard operating procedures and policies, such as SAFETY, QUALITY, GMP & CPS. RESPONSIBILITIES: Champions a safety culture, ensures a safe work environment, and promotes safe behavior Lead will be responsible for the production department Conducts safety, maintenance, machine operation and quality assurance training for new employees Operates blow mold machines and other related equipment Troubleshoots and resolves process problems and makes minor repairs to blow-mold and support equipment Prepares and documents daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies and other Performs in-process inspections/line walks of manufactured products during molding, packaging and loading REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma, or equivalent 2-3 years' experience as a Lead Machine Operator 3+ years' manufacturing 1-2 years' blow mold, extrusion and/or injection mold machine operation - strongly preferred Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.) Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills are required Machine maintenance experience Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals Ability to work overtime Physical stamina and strength/able to stand for long periods of time TRAINING: Completion of Altium Machine Operator training within 90 days of hire date Ability to train on 1st shift, if needed BENEFITS: Competitive Hourly Rate Medical, Dental & Vision Holiday/Vacation Pay 401K with Company Contribution Tuition Reimbursement Learning & Training Opportunities Bonus Opportunities *Altium Packaging, Our Culture Differentiates Us!* We incorporate our Guiding Principles into all aspects and at all levels of the organization and use them as a framework for decision-making.
