Overview

LMI is seeking a Management Analyst with experience in software-centric program management to support the Health Information Systems program management office under the Office of Health Security (OHS). The OHS leads DHS efforts in protecting the health of their workforce and the homeland. A successful candidate will be a professional, highly organized, detail oriented self-starter who takes initiative and enjoys working in a fast paced, team oriented environment. The candidate must be able to obtain DHS Suitability. The work location is at the Client Site, St Elizabeth, in Washington, D.C. Some work can be done remotely, pending Client's approval.

Responsibilities

    Work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment
  • Apply the DHS Acquisition Lifecycle Framework (MD-102) in supporting software-centric programs
  • Assist the government in adopting Agile practices
  • Manage and mitigate risks and issues - Management of the Risk Register and meetings
  • Streamline processes/business process improvement
  • Draft acquisition documents for information technology programs in accordance with DHS regulations and policies
  • Have familiarity with Project Management Institute (PMI) project management practices and implementation
  • Report project status/progress, schedule, and risk information to government leadership
  • Support the development the measures of effectiveness and performance metrics - KPIs, MOEs, and MOPs.
  • Support development of Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) documentation
  • Lead the coordination with other DHS Components
  • Coordination with stake holders to develop system requirements
  • Be able to communicate and support in building partnerships with industry representatives
  • Work on unusually complex problems and provide solutions that are highly creative


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of work experience
  • Ability to obtain DHS Suitability. An active DHS Suitability clearance is highly preferred
  • Demonstrate abilities to coordinate with stakeholders and communicate project status
  • Demonstrate high levels of initiative and customer responsiveness
  • Excellent communications skills (oral and written)
  • Basic understanding of agile methodology (Scrum and/or Kanban)
  • Experience in supporting software-centric, developmental programs that apply agile methodology (Scrum and/or Kanban) highly preferred
  • Knowledge in DHS or DoD acquisition management process highly preferred

Targeted Salary Range: $62,000 - $88,000
