Your Job

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a qualified professional to be the Outage Outcome Leader within the corporate outage management group supporting pulp and paper manufacturing facilities across the U.S.

The Outage Outcome Leader (OOL) will work with and support manufacturing facility teams in successful preparation and execution of $10 to $70 million annual asset outage events. The OOL will provide guidance, coaching and mentorship to the mill teams using an outage T-minus management methodology and associated tools as a roadmap. The vision is to discover and use methods, tools, and knowledge to close gaps in asset strategies and reliability for optimum safety, uptime, production and operating cost in mill operations. The OOL will be a significant contributor helping manufacturing teams across operations improve performance in the short-term, while building sustainable outage management capability for the longer term. Successful outage management is key to the successful performance of facilities and their businesses.

What You Will Do
* Be proactive and deliberate in the application of Principle Based Management.
* Build and share knowledge and capability within the facility teams with a focus on talent development as a mentor, coach and partner.
* Develop a relationship and credibility with mills to gain the ability to constructively influence and challenge.
* Have a heightened sense of urgency and commitment to continuously improve and transform.
* Promote the use of the Decision-Making Framework process to realize long-term value creation.
* Proactively share knowledge and collaborate with numerous facilities and capability groups at the corporate, business unit, and site level to ensure the best knowledge is included in decision making.
* Provide insights and perspectives to the mill teams on opportunities to improve performance and to support the teams in developing gap closures based upon observations, questions and experience.
* Demonstrate ownership and expertise in the Georgia Pacific Outage Management process and educate mill teams in the purpose and value of using the process. Be a sponsor of the structured process.
* Support the mill teams in problem solving situations that are outside of the developed outage management process.
* Participate and provide oversight in strategy scope development, resource planning, work planning, project management, scheduling, interactive planning, contractor management, event-free start-up, outage execution and post outage critiques of annual outages.

knowledge and Skills:
* Demonstrated commitment to safety and regulatory compliance results.
* Demonstrated ability to build credibility and relationships with teams using knowledge and value rational to influence change.
* Demonstrated leadership improving manufacturing, reliability/maintenance and project management results.
* Systematic approach to identifying, prioritizing, and closing gaps in work processes and team capabilities.
* Effective communication (written and verbal), organizational, and planning/scheduling/execution skills.
* Project, construction, maintenance and/or operations management skills.
* Experience with data analysis, metrics reporting, pareto analysis, CMMS systems and trending.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* 8 or more years of experience in maintenance, reliability, project management and/or operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory role in a heavy industrial environment (preferably fully integrated pulp and paper mills)
* Willing and able to travel 75% of time (average).
* Experience with reliability, precision maintenance practices, maintenance work processes, manufacturing operations, and integrated scheduling across multiple operational teams.
* Proven ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers.
* Proven leadership ability in dynamic and complex customer site environments, equipped with quick learning capability and ownership
* Strong Project Management skills and PC proficiency with CMMS, Microsoft Project and Excel

What Will Put You Ahead
* Minimum of 4 years of experience and demonstrated ability organizing and leading large maintenance and repair outages in an industrial environment.
* Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or Construction Management (Mechanical engineering degree preferred)
* Experience in outage management, manufacturing maintenance and operations, construction and project management roles working within the pulp & paper industry.
* Located in the NW or SE US for easier access to facilities.

For this role, we anticipate paying $150k-$200k per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
