POSITION SUMMARY:
The Procurement Business Partners are critical for connecting our global procurement organization with our businesses. This role creates strong connections between Procurement and our Nestle Professional Solutions business, which has over $1 Billion in sales and includes brands such as Nescafe, Starbucks, LJ Minors, Chef Mate, Stouffers and more. As part of the Business Partnering team, you will support Procurement in driving strategic value for the
Business Unit by aligning business priorities with our procurement category strategies. This will require analyzing data, distilling impact, identifying opportunities, and communicating findings to procurement and business professionals in ways they understand. The role will actively engage with cross-functional project teams and communicate to them the business opportunities, sourcing constraints, supply risks, and mitigation strategies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand business requirements and challenges, including priorities, must-win battles and key value drivers
    • Demonstrate consumer obsession by understanding key insight about the consumers, business priorities, customers, operators and competitors within the foodservice category.
    • Communicate this understanding to the procurement category management teams at the appropriate level and translating the language so the sourcing strategies and priorities are defined accordingly.
    • Promote strong utilization of procurement tools and new digital practices/tools/ways of thinking to maximize efficiency of the procurement function
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the Divisions P&L and how procurement activities impact the key metrics of the business and functions in support of the Operational Master Plan (OMP)
  • Liaise with matrixed, cross-functional teams
    • Work with cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious strategies and targets to help grow the business
    • Maintain, build, and grow relationships within both the business and global procurement organization to effectively balance constraints between business priorities and procurement objectives, using creativity to achieve both as much as practical
    • Ensure procurement value contribution to the business, using key performance indicators to track and report progress
  • Translate spending strategy into business strategy at brand level - including risks and opportunities based on market dynamics
    • Own and measure cost improvement targets and projects; report to business stakeholders as appropriate
    • Monitor business goals delivered by the category teams and help periodically reassess the targets
  • Ensure proper alignment and communications between business and category management teams
    • Develop and execute a stakeholder management strategy to align procurement objectives with the business's long-term strategies, priorities, and objectives.
    • Work with category management teams to ensure the category strategy summaries meet business requirements and gain sign-off
    • Work with category management teams to ensure supplier selection is approved by business stakeholders and to communicate award decision to those affected
  • Continuously contribute to the improvement of procurement function by monitoring performance, raising expectations, and adjusting the ways of working and processes to achieve results.
  • Stay current on industry and market trends, using them to drive value and innovation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Operations or another related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Financeor related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, including but not limited to Power BI

  • Interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships with and influence a dynamic and diverse set of stakeholders, including the ability to listen and understand differing perspectives
  • Strategic mindset with quantitative, problem-solving, project management, and a strong desire for progress and continuous improvement

  • Working through ambiguity to identify and drive to a solution, both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
