The Department of Neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center is a unique interdisciplinary research environment specializing in human genetics and genomics. We are searching to fill a Staff Associate I position to support research on rodent and human stem cell models of neurological disease in the laboratory of Dr. Christopher Makinson. Responsibilities The responsibilities of the position are to assist with rodent animal colony maintenance including animal husbandry and genotyping. Molecular biology techniques such as qPCR, CRISPR genome editing, cell culture, and molecular assay development. Additional tasks such as purchasing and general lab management may also be required.
