Primary Functions: This full time position coaches credit and non-credit students at the Bethlehem (60%), Pocono (20%) and Fowler (10%) Campuses by coaching on career exploration, competencies, and career readiness. The Career Coach will help students with resume writing and the development of interview skills and career competencies, as well as assisting with various career events (Etiquette Lunch, Executive in Residence, Career and Internship Fairs, Career Panels, etc.) The Coach must be willing to achieve proficiency in the platforms used by the department (Handshake, Focus2, Skills First Resume Support and others as needed).

Responsibilities: (1) Deliver all the following services through in-person and remote means (2) Provide subject matter expertise to counsel, coach, and facilitate career related one-on-one appointments, presentations, and workshops. This requires career counseling theory and practice, knowledge of career competencies and professional skills, and career trends. (3) Conducts individual and group/class sessions with students and alumni providing interest and skill assessment, values clarification, career opportunity/trend information, (4) Engages students in career exploration early and throughout their academic career (5) Promote experiential learning opportunities with the goal of transforming the students' college experience. (6) Help students reflect on their academic career and be able to articulate their experiences to their respective audience. (7) Advise, teach, and prepare students and alumni individually and/or in workshops on resumes, cover letters, applications, job search techniques, interview skills, networking, internet usage, employer research, evaluation of job offers. (8) Ensure accurate data entry and reporting of all activity into the career development database, including counseling notes and outreach career activity (9) Requires in-depth, current knowledge of employer hiring practices and preferences, computer literacy in using web and internet applications, and strong interview skills.(10) Determined by department needs duties may include but not limited to event planning and implementation, graduate survey calls and reporting, workshop development and implementation. (11) Perform other duties as assigned.

Organizational Relationships: (1) Supervised by the Director, Career & Alumni Services. (2) Relates role to the College mission and goals.

Performance Standards: Performance in this position is considered satisfactory when: (1) mutually agreed upon objectives have been attained within a specific time frame. (2) responsibilities of the position have been carried out at a level consistent with performance objectives. (3) effective cooperative relationships exist with the other members of the administrative team.

Qualifications: (1) Education: Attainment of a bachelor's degree in business, or other relevant discipline from a Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) approved Institutional Accreditor college (2) Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: (a) keen understanding of academic culture; (b) ability to effectively interact with faculty, staff, students, administrators and employer representatives; (c) exceptional public relations' skills to introduce and represent NCC to internal and external constituencies; (d) demonstrated ability to organize and work independently and as part of a team; (e) demonstrated competency to serve in an administrative capacity; (f) Proven abilities in marketing, planning, and data management; (g) Commitment to cultural diversity; (h) Understanding of career education and as it relates to academic curriculum, skill building, career and personal development of students; (i) Proficiency with MS Windows environment; (j) Possesses a professional demeanor that thrives in an intense, fast paced environment. (3) Experience: Minimum of three years' experience in human resources, talent acquisition, and/or career services, or other related field preferably in a higher education setting or in business in a human resource or recruiting function.

Travel: 1 day weekly to the Pocono Campus
