Description Shift: 12-hour shift (6:00 pm - 6:00 am) Alternating weekends off. Summary: Ensures the Mozzarella Packaging department is operating properly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: 1.\tAnalyzes and evaluates information concerning daily operations and how these results positively or negatively affect department performance.2.\tEnsures department is running in a smooth efficient manner, completes supervisor rounds as required. 3.\tWorks with all departments to ensure proper adherence to GMP, GSP and QC policies and procedures and proper maintenance of equipment.4.\tSuggest and debate alternative methods and procedures in problem solving procedure. 5.\tParticipates in operating budget, goals, and objectives of the department and works toward meeting and/or exceeding these expectations.6.\tMonitors punches and ensures there are sufficient personnel including temporary hours. 7.\tCompletes all records and charting as required.8.\tMeets regularly with shift supervisors and sanitation supervisor to stay informed about all issues arising in the department.9.\tConducts department employee meetings on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.10.\tPerforms administrative managerial duties in an accurate, timely and professional manner. (Phone calls, voice mail, paperwork, meeting presentations).11.\tResponsible for hiring and scheduling required within the department, including temporary staff if necessary.12.\tActively works on the production floor to facilitate the exchange of data between various departments.13.\tMaintains open communication with all employees including department managers.14.\tImplement special projects and procedures as directed. Requirements Qualifications: \tAbility to perform a multitude of tasks. \tStrong communication abilities, written and verbal. Education and/or Experience: \tHigh School Diploma/GED required. \tAssociates Degree in Business Administration or dairy science preferred \tKnowledge of computer software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook. \t3-5 years of Supervisory experience preferred. *\tPrevious food manufacturing experience preferred.
