Description UT Medical is going to be working on a device lifecycle project this year. Inside of this project will also include moving to Windows 10. They have the image already created. Due to the aging infrastructure UTMC can't push this update out remotely. Currently 65% of their environment needs to be moved to Win 10, and around 1800 workstations that need to be replaced. 700 of those workstations need to be moved from Win 7 to Win 10. They have around 70 total locations in East TN but a good 70-75% of this will be on campus. There will be 3 swim lanes for these conversions (basically 3 teams). 1 team will deal with the medical office buildings. The current desktop staff will help with scheduling. The main issue will be office pushing back on when the team can come in and perform these device switch outs and upgrades. 1 team will deal with patient rooms. They will take down the current equipment and replace display, computer, and cabling. This replacements must be compliant w/ infectious disease rules so this may slow some things down. The last team will be dealing with non-Impravada stations. Apparently Impravada is an application that is not cooperating with the move from 7 to 10. Once they get through this, they will move to help the outer office teams. Experience Level Entry Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
