What You Can Expect Our Operations Supervisor is responsible forthe safe and efficient operation of the Oakdale Water Plant, MacBride Nature Recreation Area Public Water System, water softeners, RO/DI systems, stills, and pools and spas across campus. They ensure that water production quality is maintained, and customers are kept informed of maintenance activities. They work with the Water Treatment Services Manager to ensure that work and expenses are accurately charged. Advise design professionals and work with contractors to ensure that design and construction of new systems meet requirements to allow for proper flushing, disinfection, sampling, and maintenance access. Develop written design standards for water treatment systems and processes. Aids customers in solving water quality problems that arise in their facilities and systems. Conducts reviews of completed construction for purposes of signaling acceptance of finished product. May also directly perform sampling and maintenance activities as needed to support the workload of the group. Works with the maintenance supervisor to develop and implement a robust preventative maintenance program.You will be frequently working with the Capex team and The University of Iowa Design and Construction Department to provide input on design and to support projects when required. Everyday you will be visiting multiple sites on campus. Supervising employees championing compliance with our corporate safety program and promoting safety culture. You will be developing and maintaining relationships with clients across campus discussing and making recommendations for services and equipment, cost and quantities of water provided. You will be for checking on equipment, verifying quality of service and operations, sampling and monitoring water quality and informing team members and customers to determine and track water quantity and quality produced and determining the Preventative maintenance schedule. Compensation Salary Range:$74,900 - $114,770 USD annually This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
