Assistant Manager

Job Purpose

The Assistant Manager oversees key operational areas within the Parts Distribution Center on various shifts. These areas include inbound and outbound operations and inventory management. This position is also responsible for leading a team of supervisors and associates daily to run the operation successfully to satisfy customers' needs, seeking out continuous improvement opportunities, and implementing system and process improvements to improve the operation.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work-related experience preferred

* 1-3 years of experience in distribution, warehousing and/or logistics

* 1-3 years of leadership/supervisory experience

* Proficiency in all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Strong project management and leadership skills.

* Ability to analyze plan effectiveness against stated objectives and produce countermeasures when tactics are not achieving desired results.

* Must be flexible to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.

Work Conditions

This position requires the candidate to work in both the Office and Warehouse environment. Overtime will be necessary as required by the workload. There is 10-20% travel.
