As a systems engineer on our team, you'll have the chance to shape Booz Allen's Global Supply Chain organization by leading manufacturing and product-based ERP systems implementation. This role offers the opportunity to join an Agile team developing digital products that address clients' most critical missions. We are seeking a highly skilled individual to drive business systems and processes forward while exploring emerging technology trends to create seamless client experiences. In this role, you will develop cutting-edge applications and systems. Collaborating with business and IT system analysts, you'll identify clients' business needs, gather detailed user requirements, and conduct comprehensive testing. Your contributions will include configuring enhancements to complex systems, resolving issues, and delivering high-value solutions aligned with organizational IT strategies. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these systems, but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions.

You will play a vital role in providing technical and user support for a supply chain systems-focused technology system. This includes timely resolution of user queries related to system functionality and business processes, as well as escalation of issues to relevant teams. You will actively participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, training, deployment, and end-user support. You'll leverage your technical expertise to evaluate and modernize the supply chain systems system, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall mission. Your ability to translate business needs into technical specifications will drive innovative, customer-focused solutions. Additionally, you will assist management with ad-hoc data analysis requests, merging supply chain systems and systems expertise to foster impactful changes.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on web-based systems
  • Experience in data analysis, defect reporting, system testing, and requirements gathering
  • Experience resolving complex technical issues
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of data governance principles
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
  • Ability to respond effectively to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in an Information Systems field

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with supply chain systems and processes, particularly within the U.S. federal government contracting industry
  • Experience with SQL for executing queries and database analysis
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or Ivalua
  • Knowledge of IT Help Desk processes and support methodologies
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in user-friendly language
  • Ability to be enthusiastic for learning new software tools and techniques quickly
  • Ability to document and maintain detailed technical documentation
  • Possession of excellent multitasking skills, with a focus on organizational efficiency
  • Possession of excellent customer-service, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, to address user queries and collaborate across teams

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
