Machine Operator I

With general supervision, the Machine Operator will set up the proper tooling needed in the thermoforming machines and operates the machines per job specifications.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Sets up thermoforming machines for operation
• Mounts dies, molds and loads rolls of raw materials into the machine.
• Engages machine to produce parts and maintains continuous operation.
• Performs troubleshooting and quality control checks.
• Performs routine maintenance on machines.
• Works with Packer/Inspectors to resolve any quality issues as needed.
• Directs Packers/Inspectors to work in other areas when machine is down for troubleshooting or set up.
• Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Performs other work duties or functions as assigned.
• Uses and reads calipers.
• Keeps accurate daily box counts.
• Runs the specified number of parts on each job.
• Maintains a good working relationship with inspectors and operators.
• Knows and verifies specification requirements of each part.
• Maintains a safe, organized, and clean work area.
• Assists in setting up machines as needed.

We'd love to hear from you if:

• Have at least 6 mo. Set Up Operator experience.
• 1 year previous production line experience preferred.
• Ability to continuously lift, reach, stand, and walk throughout the day.
• Have Good written and verbal communication skills, manual dexterity and agility and leadership skills.
• Have past experience with Thermoformers and hand- held tools..
• Self-starting, willing to learn, does other tasks as required.
• Knowledge about basic math and English skills to complete paperwork.
• Can maintain a good attendance record.
• Can work in an environment with exposure to heat, toxic fumes, greases and lubricants.
• Standing, walking, bending, reaching, reading, writing and talking are necessary for role.
• Can lift up to 50 pounds.
