The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health is seeking a Project Coordinator to support research programs related to cancer epidemiology and carcinogenesis. The Project Coordinator will work independently under the direction of the Principal Investigators to oversee the operation of research studies, including the tracking of grant initiatives, implementation, management, and coordination of research studies involving literature reviews, the curation and processing of data, harmonization of data, data analysis, and reporting. Duties include general project management and coordination, Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and reporting related to protection of human subjects in research, data collection and management, report generation, and data analyses. The incumbent will also assist with communication across research centers, project leaders, study team members, advisory boards and provide administrative support including but not limited to IRB application preparation, report writing, and other activities as needed.

Responsibilities



  • Coordinate project activities to adhere to timelines, milestones, and reporting requirements - 40%
  • Develop and maintain databases, conduct preliminary analyses, generate reports - 40%
  • Assist with IRB submissions and reporting, submissions of abstracts, and manuscripts, and preparation of presentations and slide decks - 10%
  • Coordinate advisory board meetings and team communication - 5%
  • Other duties as assigned - 5%


Minimum Qualifications



  • Requires a bachelor's degree


Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's preferred
  • Two years of related experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience in data management and analysis
  • Experience in clinical or research coordination
