Job Description

Summary of Position

The Assistant Registrar, Scheduling and Compliance supports the work of the University through facilitating classroom assignments, ensuring professional licensure compliance, provides customer service, and creates and maintains effective and efficient administrative processes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of classroom assignments for the academic schedule.
  • Ensures adherence to professional licensure regulatory standards through maintenance of our published information and development of relationships with faculty content experts.
  • Serves as Institutional Contact with Higher Education Licensure Professionals (HELP), attending HELP meetings to support updated information on disclosures.
  • Monitors institutional data for all educational programs that lead to licensure, providing annual updates on programs and licensure standards.
  • Serve as backup and support for academic schedule editing.
  • Serve as a primary Registrar's Office point-of-contact for students, staff, and faculty via email, phone, and in-person.
  • Supports registration functions, including ACTC exchange registration, transcript, withdrawal, and LOA processing, record maintenance, form updating, and implements improvements to meet student and faculty needs.
  • Provide administrative support for Academic/Financial petition processing.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Send academic transcripts upon request.
  • Interprets and enforces academic policy and procedure.
  • All other duties as apparent or assigned by supervisor.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Typical work environment is an office. Sedentary work for long periods of time.
  • Regular computer and phone use.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least two (2) years full-time relevant experience or equivalent within higher education or similar setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using databases and systems to enter, verify, and update records, and ability to run queries and reports.
  • Experience with classroom scheduling or similar project management experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to analyze processes for continuous quality improvement, utilizing technology where appropriate.
  • Ability to communicate and explain university policies verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse work environment.
  • Ability to show initiative, work independently, organize workflow, manage multiple projects, and handle frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to be attentive to details, be accurate, be precise.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to reason/analyze, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate patience/understanding.
  • Ability to analyze processes for continuous quality improvement, utilizing technology where appropriate.
  • Knowledge of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
  • Knowledge of an ability to effectively communicate curriculum and registration policy.

Compensation and Benefits at Augsburg

  • The compensation range is $47,000 - $53,000 per year, DOQ.
