We have a contract opportunity for a Buffer Manufacturing Technician at the Navy Yard in South Philadelphia. This position is approved for 6 to 12 months with the possibility of being extended.
Pay Rate:$22.00 to $24.00/Hr.

(4x10, 5x8, or Monday to Thursday 9hrs w/Friday 4hrs)
Summary:
Looking for a candidate with BS in Bio, Chem, or related science with real life lab benchwork experience or (b) candidate with minimum 2 years /strong lab technician experience. The Buffer Manufacturing Tech plays a key role in converting raw materials into finished products by adhering to established procedures and detailed protocols.
This role focuses on the production of buffers used in molecular diagnostic devices. Key responsibilities include implementing processes to support product creation under the guidance of senior manufacturing personnel, and maintaining the operational workflow.
Job Responsibilities:
Manufacture and assemble products with a primary focus on liquid buffer preparation.
Operate automation systems for raw material processing and production activities.
Identify and report equipment or facility issues to the Supervisor for timely resolution.
Adhere to safety requirements, cGMP standards, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation.
Prepare, fill, label, and package solutions for production and distribution.
Perform critical, routine, and non-routine production operations with precision.
Accurately record data and maintain inventory in the database.
Clean and maintain production equipment and work areas to ensure operational efficiency.
Support management in the verification and validation of manufacturing equipment.
Assist management with the implementation and optimization of production processes.
Education and experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Biology or related field and between 0 to 3 years of industry experience or equivalent experience in GMP related industry
Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing setting
Excellent computer, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
Must be results oriented, and self-motivated.
Lean six sigma knowledge a plus.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Remain in stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods of time.
Ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.
Wear PPE correctly most of the day.
Operate manufacturing and lab equipment.
Adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
