TITLE: TradeWest Fulfillment Center Assistant

DEPARTMENT: Business Administration

STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

SALARY: $21 - $24

POSITION SUMMARY

This role will be responsible for assisting in all areas of the TradeWest fulfillment center. Must be able to take direction, be willing to learn our systems and need little supervision to accomplish day to day task. This role will play an integral role and provide the much-needed support to continue providing excellent customer service to the Western Territory.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:



  • High school graduate or higher
  • Active Salvationist, or extensive knowledge of The Salvation Army
  • Preferred experience working with a wide diversity of people in a customer service environment
  • Experience working as a shipper is highly desirable
  • Experience with embroidery and engraving machines
  • Working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite and/or other digitizing software
  • Knowledge of major shipping systems (UPS, FedEx, USPS)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and basic computer use



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:



  • Knowledge of Salvation Army policies and procedures
  • Good working knowledge of embroidery and engraving machines
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and/or other digitizing software
  • Knowledge of UPS or other shipping systems
  • Computer skills and Microsoft 365
  • Knowledge of Shopify (online platform)or similar a plus



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Assist as needed in all areas of embroidery and engraving orders and maintaining embroidered inventory.
  • Operate and help to maintain embroidery and engraving
  • Digitizing logos for embroidery using computer software as needed.
  • Work with Customer Service to ensure that all issues are communicated to customers in a timely
  • Assist Fulfillment Center Manager in shipping and quality control for orders as needed.
  • The ability to fulfill and ship out orders using Shopify and Shipping easy applications.
  • Knowledge of The Salvation Army uniform pieces and programs to ensure the correct items are shipped for orders.
  • Assisting with keeping shipping supplies stocked/ordered.
  • Assist with occasional and yearend inventory.
  • Assist to ensure that stock is available and maintained in the warehouse and on the website.
  • Assist in keeping the warehouse clean and organized.
  • Assisting with events in all areas from preparation, set up/break down, loading/unloading.
  • Heavy lifting and substantial moving and organizing of inventory.
  • Travel and overnight stay to offsite events required.
  • All other duties as assigned
