General Hematologist Oncologist

MaineHealth Cancer Care is seeking a General Hematologist/Oncologist to join the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at its North Conway, New Hampshire location. The MaineHealth Cancer Care North Conway practice is located in North Conway, New Hampshire, a premier and family-friendly destination for those visiting the famous White Mountain region. Voted the "Best Ski Town" in the country by USA today in 2025, North Conway is ideally located for skiing, hiking, rock climbing, and other outdoor adventures. North Conway also offers a burgeoning shopping and dining scene.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in an established hematology and medical oncology practice affiliated with MaineHealth Memorial Hospital in North Conway, an integral part of the MaineHealth Cancer Care Network. General hematologist/oncologists within the practice evaluate and treat patients with a range of hematologic and oncologic conditions, supported by specialists throughout the MaineHealth system. Participation in specialty, system-wide multidisciplinary tumor boards is encouraged, and support for the development of subspecialty clinics is available for candidates with subspecialty interest.

MaineHealth is a nationally recognized integrated care system that delivers highly coordinated, state-of-the-art, cancer and hematology care across a network that cares for 7,600 new cancer patients each year. The cancer and hematology programs have grown significantly over the past three years and exceed 80% market share across the state of Maine. The programs are academically affiliated with the Tufts University School of Medicine and include a fellowship training program as well as robust clinical and translational research efforts, with membership in both NCORP and the NCI cooperative groups. Prior experience in oncology within an academic health system or academically oriented private practice is preferred, although strong candidates in the early stages of their careers will be considered.
