We're seeking a Lead Content Designer to join our Card Servicing Experience Design team. We design the tools and experiences that help our customers self-service or receive best-in-class servicing from our agents. Our work ensures our customers can easily resolve any problem they have along their journey with us, no matter which path they follow.

Role Expectations

As a Lead Content Designer, you'll combine your craft expertise and leadership skills with an understanding of our customers and the business to co-create innovative solutions to complex problems and influence product strategy.

We're ushering in a new era for Servicing content, and we need a systems thinker with excellent writing and UX skills to help us lead. As we expand our footprint, you'll think strategically to create content consistency across users and channels. You'll design content models and patterns, and you'll help drive governance and standardization. You'll bring this to life by building content experiences for our customers and agents. To help the content practice mature, you'll mentor junior designers and share best practices with the community.

You'll lead projects, directing work and partnering with cross-functional leaders to deliver end-to-end results. You'll use data and research to draw insights and make recommendations for products and experiences. You'll articulate your point of view across levels and job functions to influence partners, stakeholders and team members.

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating your leadership, process, results and impact.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 7+ years of experience in content design, content strategy, UX writing, or UX design

  • At least 7+ years of experience working with and contributing to an established design system

Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 6 years of experience collaborating with product, tech and business partners

  • Experience leading design projects or teams

  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma

  • Experience with content modeling and techniques like OOUX

  • Experience working in heavily regulated, data heavy problem spaces

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $144,000 - $164,400 for Manager, Design McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800 for Manager, Design New York, NY: $172,800 - $197,200 for Manager, Design Richmond, VA: $144,000 - $164,400 for Manager, Design San Francisco, CA: $172,800 - $197,200 for Manager, Design

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
