Position Summary:



Be involved in all aspects of Office of Disability Services. This is a 19 hour per week part time position.



Position Responsibilities:




  • Work with students with disabilities throughout the University, both undergraduate and graduate programs
  • Provide intake to new students explaining services and describing necessary documentation to receive accommodations/accessibility/assistive technology/emotional support animals/meal plan modification approvals
  • Evaluate student documentation and determine reasonable accommodations based on disability diagnoses and associated functional limitations
  • Meet with students to discuss reasonable accommodations and provide Letters of Accommodation each semester to qualifying students
  • Consult with liaison administrators, faculty members, and students in graduate programs regarding any issues with students who have disabilities
  • Record all communications with students, parents, administrators, and professors regarding students registered in Disability Services
  • Maintain and update referral sources available to students for disability evaluations etc.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities, as deemed necessary



Experience & Educational Background:




  • College degree required, master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 years of work experience with high school or college students or in a social services role



Skills & Competencies:




  • Ability to work independently, professionally, and collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty on both Undergraduate and Graduate levels



Salary Range:



$37.00- $42.00 per hour
