Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's level degree in Dietetics or other field and havecompleted an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics. Registered Dietitian credential is required.If not credentialed (RD, RDN) at hire, must obtain within 9 months. Be a part of a team of progressive and motivated Clinical Dietitians! Clinical Nutrition Team Our department serves to provide consistent leadership and support across Sentara with an emphasis on team growth, job promotion, and quality care for our patients. We provide safe, competent evidence-based nutritional therapy that meets the scope of practice per the Academy of Nutrition and Dieteticsand in accordance with the medical staff-approved clinical practice standards.We workcollaboratively with the health care team, food service department, and other nutrition professionals.Responsible for managing patient's medical nutrition therapy that includes assessment and diagnosis of Malnutrition, Nutrition-focused physical exams,recommendationsondiet and oral supplement prescriptions,and the volume, rate, and composition of parenteral and enteral feedings. Job Summary Responsible for managing patient's medical nutrition therapy in accordance with the medical staff-approved clinical practice standards. Serves as a resource for nutrition education.
