ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

RETOUCHING

Work closely with creative leads to ensure that images meet brand standards, and elevate the brand photography
Collect, edit and process all digital imagery, including ecom and lifestyle photography
Provide retouching and communication support as needed for print imagery
Match product imagery to samples for color accuracy and details
Make extensions and compositions, silo paths, soft masks
Retouching on figure images for improved fit and correct product details such as incorrect buttons on provided sample, pocket placement, color, etc
Convert assets for print or digital use
Create and implement Photoshop actions
Retouch fabric requiring pattern alignment

Establish retouching and color correction standards and guides for digital and print imagery; manage file size and crop specification guidelines
Work closely with in-house video specialist and freelance video editors to ensure that product colors match across stills and video
Establish best process for retouching
Manage external retouching support, primarily for digital and ecom images, including retouching budget
Liaise and support external color studios/retouchers for print images
Work closely with photo team, other internal depts and external brand partners, including licensees, to support image retouching needs across the company. This may include wholesale, PR and marketing needs
Work with production, project managers and key stakeholders to establish retouching schedules and communicate them
Support the creative dept by assisting with organizing and maintaining digital assets through the retouching process, ensuring consistency and efficiency in file management, metadata, and naming conventions
Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline workflows, track progress, and manage assets within tools like Airtable and DAM platforms

WEB IMAGE SUPPORT

Work closely with web producer/coordinator for web image uploads, this includes but is not limited to, collecting images for ecom drops, renaming files, replacing images, adding metadata/support in adding metadata, and re-ordering image variants as needed

CORE EXPECTATIONS

5~10 years experience retouching digital and print imagery
Core knowledge of photography
Experience working with Cloudinary or a similar web image hosting platform is preferred
Capable of prioritizing large volumes of work
Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate technical requirements and instructions
Experience working with a team of strong and diverse personalities
Highly organized and accurate in regard to file names, file locations and image tagging
Able to manage external retouching support

QUALIFICATIONS

Associates degree in related field and 5+ years' experience in a post-production environment with retouching and color correction responsibilities for apparel and soft goods
Critical eye for color demonstrated by a score 3 or less on the X-rite Hue Test (www.xrite.com/en/hue-test)
