The Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes in the Department of Medicine is looking for an individual who is detail-oriented, creative, and innovative to coordinate and manage the Endocrinology Fellowship Program. This is a full-time University Staff position located at the AMC campus (hybrid work environment). On the behalf of the Endocrinology Fellowship Program Director and Associate Program Director, this individual will perform duties related to planning, directing, and coordinating the academic, operational, and financial activities of the fellowship program; assisting in the development of program educational and administrative goals and objectives; contributing to new fellow recruitment; organizing the fellowship program structure and clinical rotations; and providing sound guidance and advice on other pertinent fellowship program issues. This position reports to the Endocrinology Division Administrator. The ACGME accredited Fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism accepts 4 fellows per year and fellows may choose to complete a 2-year clinician educator track or a 3-year research track. The total number of fellows within the program ranges from 8-10 at any given time. Fellows rotate through inpatient services at the University of Colorado Hospital, Denver Health, and the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center. They also attend outpatient clinics at all 3 locations. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the oversight of the day-to-day operations for the fellowship program and ensure the overall goals and objectives are accomplished.
- Act as a liaison between fellows, division, department, and other constituents, including GME, UCH and others.
- Create and oversee the rotation schedules with assistance from the fellowship director.
- Coordinate fellow schedules with the clinical sites and enter fellow schedules into Amion.
- Suggest improvements in the management of the rotation schedules.
- Monitor resident schedules to ensure compliance with ACGME work hours rules by fellows.
- Notify the appropriate individuals of any discrepancies.
- Manage the fellowship application process through the ERAS system (Electronic Fellowship Application Service).
- Contribute to the organization of the fellowship candidate interviews.
- Direct the fellowship onboarding process for incoming first-year fellows.
- Complete new contract packages for new fellows and continuing fellows on an annual basis.
- Consult with fellowship program director on pertinent issues concerning fellowship recruitment and onboarding.
- Serve as the program administrator for MedHub, GME's Evaluation software, which includes monitoring duty hours, low score alerts, creating and delivering faculty, fellow and annual program evaluations, tracking conference components and generating evaluation-based reports for fellows and faculty.
- Medical Student and Resident Elective Coordination:
- Coordination of elective; enter grades into the system (students only); ensure proper access to hospitals.
- Monitor, match and track evaluations through New Innovations evaluation software (students only).
- Generate evaluation reports for fellows and faculty.
- Assist the program director with the timely completion of GME funding sheets and resident charge sheets on an annual basis; track work hours at each site and allocate funds as appropriate.

Work Location:
|
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule (after the completion of in person training) of 2-3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Entry Level:
- A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Intermediate Level:
- A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
- One (1) year of experience coordinating fellowship programs.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an academic environment, with an emphasis on day-to-day management of educational and administrative operations.
- Experience with University software systems.
- Experience managing all aspects of Fellowship recruitment processes.
- Two (2) or more years of administration and/or office management experience in an academic and/or healthcare setting.
- Experience with University software systems.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as: Entry Level: $45,017 - $54,000 Intermediate Level: $55,100 - $62,300 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
