Position Description: Manage integration of Offsite solutions into project design. Manage design and model, supply technical subject matter expertise, and coordinate team of design partners to ensure proper application of offsite solutions.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities: Serve as technical subject matter expert to guide and educate project leadership, operations, and design teams to evaluate Offsite solutions that improve project outcomes. Determine direction of xPL project specific design applications in collaboration with design team (e.g., internal/external designers, integrators, and consulting Engineers). Provide design management on concurrent projects of various scope and complexity. Provide bills of material (BOMs) information and other information to support development and update Preconstruction cost models/budget. Provide design details and drawings for clarifying scope during procurement process. Foster professional collaboration to facilitate communication among design team to minimize impact of design changes throughout design process and set the pace to achieve project specific schedule and contractual requirements. Develop models in various CAD platforms, as needed, to progress design and communicate design attributes, features, and changes. Confirm product designs meet specifications, quality, and contractual requirements throughoutreview and approval processes for OSM drawings generated for assigned projects. Support coordination and design clarifications with AHJs for specific projects. Maintain thoughtfully crafted product design that meets project objectives while optimizing for labor material cost, aesthetics, and performance. Develop continuous improvement mindset to innovate and iterate design methods, automate and increase efficiency of design process. Share best practices across OSM team. Manage quality assurance to identify and eliminate model clashes throughout design coordination process. Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned. #LI-ZO1 |

- Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from accredited degree program in engineering, design or construction, with minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing or construction, or in related role, or equivalent education, training, and experience Cross-functional knowledge ofkey engineering disciplines (Architectural, Structural, MEP/ HVAC etc.) andrelevant trades Ability to think in highly structured manner along design disciplines and ability to develop specialized solutions Experience in Designing, Estimating and Scheduling in manufacturing or construction industry Proficient with CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, CAD Mep, Rhino, and/or similar design software) Familiar with construction documentation and coordination software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM360) Interpersonal and team building skills with ability to work across organizational levels and with clients and vendors Ability to apply active listening skills to hear and understand ideas, options, and opinions of others Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule Ability to quickly adapt and prioritize responsibilities while working in fast-paced environment Critical thinking and analysis skills for decision-making and problem-solving Professional verbal and written business communication skills, with effective presentation delivery, and able to tailor communications and technical information to various audiences Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite of applications, and collaborative tools Limited travel
