What You'll Do

Conducts a variety of routine and specialized laboratory experiments with accuracy. Performs specialized techniques and makes decisions regarding the appropriate protocol or procedure necessary to achieve desired results, the reliability and accuracy of results, and whether modification or repetition is necessary. Records test results and analyzes data derived from experiments.

  • Conduct routine experiments: follow and design appropriate protocols/procedures to achieve results; perform techniques such as cell culturing, preparing samples for live-cell microscopy or FACS, lentivirus transductions, microbiology infections of cells and molecular biology procedures
  • Help manage the laboratory including but not limited to: ordering supplies, inventory, lab organization, coordinating equipment repair, helping with safety inspections.
  • Record results and examines data for analysis: keeps accurate records of experiments and results, performs data interpretations/summarization including graphing figures and statistical analysis, communicate findings to graduate students, postdocs and PIs.

What We're Looking For

Basic Requirements:

  • Typically requires skills obtained via a BS or BA in a biological science
  • At least 2 years of related laboratory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Consistent attention to detail and excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with laboratory techniques and procedures
  • Knowledge of basic statistics
  • Position will require working with mice.
  • Previous experience with cell culture, experience with microbiology and/or mouse work is strongly preferred but not required.

Pay Range

Minimum $24.30, Midpoint $28.90, Maximum $33.50

Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
