Position Highlights

The Interprofessional Clinical and Professional Skills Center (ICaPS) at the University of Arizona Health Sciences (UAHS) invites applicants to apply for the temporary and part-time position of Clinic Assistant (Administrative Support Assistant I). The ICaPS Clinic Assistant will report to the Director of ICaPS and provide general administrative assistance to support the Center with day-to-day operations which include receiving, directing and communicating with visitors, preparing documents, and maintaining clinic supplies in exam rooms.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Receive, direct, and respond to visitors. Screen phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate ICaPS staff.
  • Track office supply inventory and assist with ordering.
  • Stock and maintain exam rooms. Exam room set-up and take down for Clinic activities.
  • Provide support with Center opening and closing duties.
  • Assist with laundry delivery and pick up.
  • Sort and distribute mail.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned to support the ICaPS Center and Staff.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of discretion in dealing with sensitive, confidential information.
  • Proficient in Office, Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Ability to handle multiple requests and prioritize.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with a Standardized Patient Clinical Skills Center.
