Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate with the Rutgers Cancer Institute- Medical Oncology/Behavioral Sciences Division.
Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Postdoctoral Associate will be responsible for conducting research to elucidate the basic molecular mechanisms that underlie the pathogenesis of adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma and Fanconi anemia.
In addition, under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Postdoctoral Associate will perform research, experiments, and specialized laboratory techniques. This individual will also draft written reports for inclusion in manuscripts and grant proposals.
Among the key duties for this position are the following:
- Assists the principal investigator (PI) and study staff with all ongoing research.
- Supports the PI with multilevel and intensive longitudinal data management (preparing, cleaning, merging, and reformatting) and analysis in mHealth research, including data acquisition and analysis.
- Assists the PI with preparing manuscripts, reports, and presentations.
- Supports the PI's plans, developments, and lab and research studies implementations.
- Collaborates with internal and external researchers on analyzing and interpreting EMA data.
- Troubleshoots issues during and after data collection.
- Prepares manuscripts, written reports of research experiments, grant applications, and slides for scientific presentations.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Doctoral degree in public health, or a related field.
- Qualified candidates must be in the process of completing or have finished the training for Ph.D. and/or M.D.
- Candidates must provide proof all requirements have been fulfilled before their position start date.

- Strong record of publications and excellent writing and statistical skills.
- Effective oral and communication skills.
- Must be computer literate and proficient with database, analytics, and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and statistical packages such as R, SAS, Python, or SPSS.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Biostatistics major preferred.
- Prior experience in multilevel data management and analysis is preferred.
- Experience with institutional review boards (IRB) preferred.
