The University of Virginia's Senior Compliance Director & University ADA Coordinator provides leadership to the university in achieving accessibility for the entire community. Serving as the designated ADA Coordinator for the university and housed in the Office for Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights (EOCR), the role provides expert guidance, coordination and direction to the university in its compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and other federal and state laws related to accessibility for individuals with disabilities. The position reports directly to the Associate Vice President for Equal Opportunity & Civil Rights. As part of EOCR's senior leadership team and as the University ADA Coordinator, this role provides a unique opportunity to shape and lead the formation and adherence to policies and processes, as well as proactive efforts and approaches aimed at equal opportunity and access and fulfilling the mission of the office and the broader university. The position leads the ADA team within EOCR, which also includes the Deputy ADA Coordinator, the Digital Accessibility Coordinator, and a part-time Special Projects Manager. This dynamic and supportive team is dedicated to advancing accessibility and equal access and serves as a resource to the entire university community, as well as its guests, providing information and consultation on access, accommodations processes, and other accessibility-related matters, and providing technical expertise in regard to accessibility in all environments including the physical and built environments and the digital realm. The position will work closely with numerous institutional leaders and guide the team in its work with partner offices including Human Resources, Facilities Management, Student Affairs, IT, Academic Affairs, and more, to address and prevent barriers to accessibility and ensure efforts are strategic and coordinated. Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with demonstrated experience. The minimum salary for this role is $140,000. This position will remain open until filled.
