Oversees and administers the day to day operation of Dr. Boons' research group which is composed of approximately 7 graduate students, 4 postdoctoral research associates and 3 research professionals
- Establish and coordinate communications with collaborators
- Organize and participate in conference calls with collaborators across multiple time zones
- Independently formulate letters and/or reports many of which are highly confidential in nature
- Assist with the preparation of scientific manuscripts, patent applications, grant proposal and other scientific documents
- Procure travel and hotel accommodation as well as construct itineraries for guest lectures
- Coordinate Dr. Boons' calendar and travel
- Assists Dr. Boons in preparing course curriculum
- Proctor exams
- Organize lab group meetings
- Assist with the preparation of personal reports

- Handles all accounting related matters associated with the ordering of scientific supplies and equipment, including the submission of receiving reports, allocating funds and approving/making payments to invoices.
- Processes check requests for all incoming invoices for services rendered, reimbursements for travel expenses and lab supply purchases, entertainment expenses, etc.
- Creates travel authorities and makes travel arrangements for conferences, symposiums and meetings for Boons group members
- Works closely with OVPR personnel on the purchase of equipment using matching funds
- Analyzes monthly financial statements for each Boons account and makes personnel and purchasing decisions, allocating resources and managing grant end dates, etc.

CCRC and the Boons lab. This includes:
- Serve as initial contact for information regarding relocation and other administrative questions.
- Assist with onboarding
