JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Advocacy & Patient Affairs is a critical member of our team, responsible for supporting the development and execution of advocacy strategies that amplify patient voices within Syneos Health and for our biopharma clients. You'll collaborate with advocacy organizations, support new business development, and play a key role in delivering patient-centered solutions across both clinical and commercial activities. This role requires a strategic partner who can advise clients, craft compelling patient-facing content, and ensure seamless execution of advocacy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

* Client Management & Strategic Support:

o Serve as a key point of contact for advocacy and patient engagement, collaborating with clients to transform business needs into actionable, patient-focused solutions.

o Co-facilitate meetings with clients and senior management, ensuring strong relationships and building trust.

o Support the execution of advocacy project plans, ensuring alignment with client goals and strategic objectives.

o Contribute to identifying improvements for project efficiency and client satisfaction.

* Business Development & Growth:

o Assist senior management in developing Statements of Work (SOWs), budgets, and presentations, supporting business development efforts.

o Identify opportunities for organic growth within existing client relationships, helping expand our impact and foster long-term partnerships.

* Subject Matter Expertise:

o Advocate for strategies that prioritize patient needs, always considering their preferences in both internal and external efforts.

o Stay informed on global trends in patient advocacy and patient insights, applying this knowledge to influence Syneos Health strategies.

o Collaborate effectively with patient communities and represent Syneos Health's capabilities with empathy and professionalism.

o Stay up-to-date on therapeutic areas and clinical development processes to enhance patient engagement in clinical and commercialization efforts.

* Project Oversight & Operational Excellence:

o Assist with the planning and execution of projects, ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations exceeded.

o Support project timeline development, team coordination, and action plan creation.

o Participate in social media audits and help create engaging community-facing content, such as discussion guides and surveys.

o Play an active role in moderating patient advisory boards and council sessions.

* Collaboration, Culture, & People:

o Foster a spirit of collaboration across internal teams, ensuring client solutions are delivered seamlessly.

o Build strong relationships with patient advocacy organizations and stakeholders.

* Financial Management:

o Contribute to budget development, invoice tracking, and financial forecasting, ensuring project costs stay on track.

o Assist with regular budget reconciliations and communicate financial details to both clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with at least 4-5 years of relevant experience working with patient communities and advocacy groups.

* Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including experience with advocacy, medical affairs, and commercial teams.

* Proven ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

* Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

* Passion for patient-partnered care and community engagement, with a commitment to patient advocacy principles.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

* Ability to travel occasionally (<5%) for client meetings and departmental events.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $71,800 to $139,600. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
