HR Mango is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our client's dynamic team in Billings, MT! This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader who thrives on managing complex projects from inception to completion.

Overview: A Senior Project Manager brings expertise and leadership to projects of significant size and complexity. You will supervise project teams, ensuring adherence to contract documents, high-quality work, and customer satisfaction. This role also includes providing guidance and mentorship to team members, as well as taking responsibility for project budgets, costs, and overall performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion the company's commitment to delivering predictable outcomes by ensuring collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Lead teams with integrity, focusing on honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Superintendent to ensure successful project delivery and strengthen client relationships.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to Project Managers and other team members regarding project management techniques, adherence to plans, and company procedures.
  • Manage project costs and profitability, ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
  • Assist in preparing estimates, participating in project contract negotiations, and preparing project budgets.
  • Lead the preparation of Project Management Plans (PMP) and manage project execution from pre-construction planning through final closeout.
  • Oversee value engineering services as necessary.
  • Organize and lead pre-construction planning meetings and coordination efforts with all stakeholders.
  • Negotiate project subcontracts, obtain necessary permits, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop project schedules and establish key milestones to ensure on-time project delivery.
  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelines.
  • Regularly visit project sites to monitor performance in terms of costs, safety, quality, and schedule.
  • Negotiate change orders with owners and subcontractors, managing the financial impact of these changes.
  • Ensure all job costs are properly tracked and documented, and coordinate with the accounting team for payment processing and lien releases.
  • Manage project closeout procedures, including final documentation, punch lists, owner acceptance, and warranty management.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and provide valuable insights for future estimates and marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent education and experience). Experience in high-rise and multifamily construction required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in healthcare commercial construction projects.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and teams.
  • Strong team collaboration skills and the ability to delegate effectively.
  • Proficient in estimating, bid verification, change order processing, and understanding market rates.
  • Familiar with construction contracts, building codes, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to resolve conflicts and issues effectively.
  • At least one year of experience negotiating contracts.
  • Knowledge of construction laws, design standards, and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrates integrity and professionalism, adhering to company policies and ethical standards.
