Position Summary:
The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences
at the New Jersey Institute of Technology is seeking to expand its
instructional staff in psychology and in particular to recruit part-time
instructors with experience teaching Introduction to Psychology. Opportunities
are available for face-to-face sections during daytime hours for the fall semester.

Essential Functions:
Essential functions include submitting a
syllabus at the beginning of the semester, delivering lectures and/or
facilitating activities to engage students at all class meetings, assigning
written course work and grading it in a timely manner, providing ongoing
feedback and assigning final grades at the end of the semester. Successful
candidates are expected to adhere to academic integrity policies.

Additional Functions:
Availability outside of classroom hours is
necessary for student conferences.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
- Applicants should hold a minimum of a master's
degree in psychology or a related field and have prior teaching experience at the
university level.
- At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
