Summary of the Job: Responsible for creating the Bank sales training program to further enhance the customer experience and relationship by developing our team members skills and knowledge in identifying needs, overcoming objections, and offering solutions through the Bank's products and services. Responsible for conducting and facilitating the sales training in all three Bank regions.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement training for new and existing employees of all skill levels using audio-visual programs, procedure and security manuals and other training devices that may be developed in-house or from approved training sources.
  • Create, host and deliver live in-person, web, and video training.
  • Develop and create job aids and quick reference guides.
  • Maintain contact with Assistant Market Manager, Training Manager and Branch Support to monitor changes in policies and procedures, to provide consistent and effective training.

Additional Functions:

  • Utilize our Learning Management System (BAI) to help manage training course offerings, assessments, follow ups and reporting needs.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 30-60% of the time.
  • Perform other duties/special projects assigned by Director of Retail Banking.
  • Utilize skills and knowledge to stay current on sales techniques to further enhance the sales training program.

Required Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED, required.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience required.
  • 2-3 years of training experience required.
  • 3-5 years of Retail Banking experience preferred, but not required.
  • 3-5 years of management experience preferred, but not required.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook.

Necessary Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and professional speaking skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Experience with e-learning software, preferred

Physical Activity/Dexterity:

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers. Works with fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.

Physical Environment Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to visit other offices, conference rooms, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and telephone.
  • Constantly positions self to operate on a computer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with other people throughout each day. Must be able to exchange accurate information when conversing.
  • Ability to travel and train sales training courses.

Working Conditions/Environment:

  • Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
  • Moderate noise (e.g. business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
