Overview:

The Cardiac Device Specialist (CDS) assists physicians, advanced practitioners and CIED (cardiac implantable electronic device) clinic supervisor in monitoring and follow-up of patients with CIEDs. The CDS is proficient in CIED programming. Will also be responsible for managing patients diagnostics in manufacturer remote monitoring websites, analysis and management of transmission, entering data in Paceart and Epic, maintaining the integrity with the system and having the judgement to direct to EP physicians when appropriate. Must meet or exceed quality, safety and value measurements under the direction of the CIED clinic supervisor, physicians and advanced practitioners.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Experience: RN experience or LVN, CMA, paramedic and/or device industry experience will be considered for candidates with that experience prior to being an RN
  • License(s): Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
