BA with Structured Notes

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Analyst to join our team, specializing in Structured Notes origination. This role demands in-depth knowledge of structured note products, payoffs, product modeling, issuance workflows, and regional nuances. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, and technology, to drive the successful design and execution of structured note offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Expertise:

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of structured note products, including various payoffs and risk-return profiles.
• Work with stakeholders to model and validate product structures, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Issuance Workflow Optimization:

• Map out and document end-to-end issuance workflows, identifying inefficiencies and proposing process enhancements.
• Ensure workflows adhere to regional regulations and market standards.

Regional Nuances:

• Stay up-to-date on regional variations in structured note issuance, including regulatory, tax, and market practices.
• Act as a knowledge resource for teams navigating these regional complexities.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Liaise with origination desks, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of new product initiatives.
• Partner with technology teams to define system requirements for product modeling, issuance, and reporting.

Documentation and Communication:

• Prepare detailed business requirement documents (BRDs) and functional specifications for structured note projects.
• Communicate complex product and workflow details effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on structured notes or structured products.
• In-depth knowledge of structured note payoffs, including equity-linked, credit-linked, and interest rate-linked structures.
• Proven experience with product modeling and issuance workflows.
• Familiarity with regional regulatory and operational nuances in structured note issuance (e.g., North America, Europe, APAC).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, workflow tools, and product modeling platforms).
• Hands-on experience in system implementation or enhancements related to structured note issuance.
• Knowledge of market trends and competitive landscape in the structured notes space.
• Certifications such as CFA, FRM, or related credentials are a plus.
