The Marine Services team is seeking a Project Surveyor in Vancouver, WA.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge marine and geospatial projects. The position requires occasional travel to remote and offshore locations to support hydrographic and geophysical fieldwork, along with diverse technical responsibilities that include data analysis, terrain modeling, and project coordination.

What You'll Do Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide survey support to field crews, including geodetic control placement and surveys.
  • Serve as Project Surveyor with direct oversight and stamping of hydrographic and integrated mapping work products.
  • Prepare and review map products and technical reports with an emphasis on precision and quality.
  • Collaborate with Hydrographic Survey Project Managers and coordinate across DEA disciplines and consultants to deliver high-impact projects.
  • Perform advanced calculations for survey and mapping projects using tools like AutoCAD and ESRI ArcPro.
  • Process and integrate complex data, including raw GNSS, inertial data, sonar data, and Lidar.
  • Ensure quality control across all phases of survey operations, maintaining our reputation for excellence.
What You Bring Required Qualifications:
  • Current Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Washington and/or Oregon (with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states).
  • A minimum of 10 years of survey field and office experience.
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, ESRI ArcPro, and Trimble Business Center, along with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient with GNSS and inertial data processing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, self-management capabilities, and excellent communication (both written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience conducting hydrographic surveys.
  • In-depth knowledge of geodesy, vertical datums, and datum transformations.
  • Familiarity with USACE hydrographic survey standards.
