Data Analyst / Data Engineer Intern

Position Overview:

As a Data Analyst / Data Engineer Intern, you will be involved in designing scalable data solutions, integrating diverse data sources, and delivering insights. This role provides exposure to data modeling, pipeline development, and cloud-based data architecture, perfect for someone eager to build both technical and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting:

- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources.

- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.

- Identify trends and insights to support data-driven decision-making.

Data Engineering & Pipeline Development:

- Collaborate with senior engineers to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.

- Implement data quality checks and optimize performance.

- Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code changes.

Data Architecture & Modeling:

- Assist in designing and optimizing data storage solutions (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses).

- Participate in creating and maintaining logical and physical data models.

- Contribute to proof-of-concept initiatives exploring new data technologies.

Collaboration & Documentation:

- Work with cross-functional teams (Data Science, Product, Engineering) to meet data requirements.

- Document technical processes, data flow diagrams, and architecture decisions.

- Report progress and challenges to the team in regular updates.

Qualifications

Education:

Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred).

- Familiarity with Big Data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) or cloud platforms (Azure).

- Basic understanding of data modeling and database design principles.

- Exposure to data architecture or system design is highly desirable.

- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Collaboration & Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working in a team environment.

- Eagerness to Learn: Self-motivated and passionate about emerging data technologies.
