Pricing Analyst
Location:Vienna, VA (Hybrid) within 2 hours Clearance:Must be clearable, Secret Status:Exempt About This Role IntelliDyne, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Pricing Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies for government proposals, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and working closely with government agencies and internal teams to negotiate and finalize contract pricing. Successful skillset includes working independently as well as part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for reviewing solicitation documents to assist in formulating consistent development and finalization of cost proposals of varying size, scope, and complexity for multiple contract types that are current, accurate and complete. This includes utilizing IntelliDyne's pricing tools and templates to provide budget/estimating that generate competitive and sound price proposals that are compliant with the provisions of the solicitation, follow IntelliDyne's procedures, and are adequate to serve as a basis for fair and reasonable pricing. Prepare basis of estimate or any information reasonably required to explain estimates. Prepare and maintain comprehensive pricing documentation, including cost breakdowns for justifications for pricing decision points. Support internal and external audits related to pricing as requested.
- Develop detailed and dynamic cost models and analyze pricing proposals for government contracts (to include build up of direct and indirect costs as well as subcontractor inputs) and perform profitability analysis based on pricing structure. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to ensure cost allocation methodologies are in line with current industry standards.
- Collaborate with the proposal team to develop pricing and work closely with Business Development, Contracts, Finance and Operations. Attend proposal meetings organized by Proposal Lead. Participate in pricing strategy including price-to-win discussions as well as peer reviews, color reviews, and white glove reviews to ensure that the pricing strategies reflect the company's cost structure while meeting government requirements. Schedule and lead green team reviews for developed pricing for internal review and approvals. Address challenges and questions regarding pricing to ensure company's interests are protected.
- Ensure that pricing practices are in compliance with regulatory requirements and adhere to all relevant government regulations, such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) if applicable, other agency-specific guidelines as well as following contract terms and company procedures/ processes including IntelliDyne's Estimating System Policies and Procedures. Stay up to date with changes in policies and/ or regulations to ensure compliance in pricing strategies. Monitor changes in government procurement policies and competitive pricing strategies to adjust pricing tactics as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or certifications in government contracting (e.g., CPCM, CFCM) is a plus. Additional years of relevant pricing experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in government pricing proposal development with a strong understanding of contract structures and types as well as pricing strategy to include identifying pricing risks.
- Candidate must have strong experience in proposal development for cost volumes and a solid working knowledge of FAR, CAS, and estimating methodologies. Must be able to lead cost activities including solicitation review, pricing strategy, and finalization of pricing documents.
- Highly proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and cost and pricing modeling tools/ pricing software. Experienced Excel skills to include lookups, pivot tables.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on compliance and accuracy in pricing models and documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, government agencies, and external contractors.
