DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be tasked with supervising a shift at a liquor store or managing the activities of junior clerks, concentrating on specific duties such as processing sales or handling shipments. Your responsibilities will encompass not only overseeing other clerks but also engaging in essential tasks. These tasks include providing customer service, operating the cash register, unloading deliveries, restocking shelves, creating displays, and maintaining store cleanliness. Additionally, you will be responsible for training lower-level employees on store policies and procedures, assigning and evaluating their work, preparing accounting and inventory reports for your shift, managing cash-related issues, and addressing customer service and product inquiries. While you will independently carry out routine store functions, you will consult with a manager or assistant manager for guidance on unfamiliar situations. Your performance will be assessed by a manager through meetings and reports to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
