As a Sourcing and Category Management Specialist Intern, you will support and assist in defining and executing sourcing strategies for projects and purchasing opportunities. You will help identify improvement opportunities, support contract and pricing negotiations, and ensure adherence to policies and accuracy of deliverables. Additionally, you will assist in processing procurement requests and collaborate with suppliers to meet business needs. ResponsibilitiesEnsure adherence to policy and assist in educating stakeholders and suppliers on compliance, contributing to the remediation and resolution of sourcing issues with minimal guidance.Support contract and pricing negotiations to meet price and capacity needs, while reflecting Microsoft's cross-functional engagements with suppliers.Assist in processing procurement requests and collaborate with suppliers to ensure consistency, timeliness, quality, and accuracy of deliverables in alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Help identify improvement opportunities by evaluating procedural or operational shortcomings and share improvement strategies with senior team members.Ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables, communicate potential delays to procurement stakeholders, and execute contingency measures as directed.Embody our Culture & Values |
